Arcade Fire have announced plans to play a five night residency in New York.

The Montreal band will be appearing at Judson Memorial Church from February 13-17. Tickets will go on sale on January 5 from 9am.

The shows are in addition to their forthcoming sold out UK shows at London's St John's Church from Janury 29-31 and Porchester Hall on February 1 and 2.

Arcade Fire's new album 'Neon Bible' is expected to be released in late March or early April 2007.

all five shows were sold out in 12 minutes; i've already seen a pair of tix go on ebay for $800. ouch.
did i mention that i got shut out? fucking lame.

sorry to hear youse guys got shut out but it's hardly surprising. i can't wait to see how much these things start going for. that $800 has gotta be near the bottom of the barrel.
