What's with the fuckin' wind? I'm fairly certain I've showed my ass to half of Illinois with the wind whipping my skirt about. Good thing I wear underwear.

I've slept ...wait, no I've not. I've barely slept in the past 36 hours. It's gone to the point of delirium.

Btw, I thought LA had horrible drivers -- it doesn't beat the midwest. Buncha inconsiderate assholes.

Holy crap, my flight has been cancelled due to the muthafuckin' rain and ice. What ice?! Luckily, we scored a couple of rooms at the Hilton Airport (the room ain't all that but I don't care).

I'm in St Louis for the night with no car. It's raining outside and I can't even walk anywhere.

Good thing I brought extra panties!

Wish you weren't here.

Love,
Tania

They drink smoke and fuck. You should see what bands are playing at Cicero's and Blueberry Hill and catch a cab and get Shit-tay.

Got a tow from a guy named Joe
Cost sixty dollars hope I don't run out of dough
Told me bout a sex offense 'put him three days in jail
Stuck in Indianapolis, hope I live to tell the tale

[Chorus]
Can't go west, can't go east
I'm stuck in Indianapolis with a fuel pump that's deceased
Ten days on the road now I'm four hours from my home town
Is this hell or Indianapolis with no way to get around

Called my girl to tell her of the trouble that I'd had
First time I called her in ten days, guess that made her mad
Far as she's concerned I belong in this Hoosier state
Stuck in Indianapolis with no way to set things straight

[Chorus]

Sitting in this bar is getting more than I can stand
If I could catch a ride I really think I'd ditch this van
Who knows what this repair will cost, scared to spend a dime
I'll puke if that jukebox plays John Cougar one more time

If I ever leave here I hope never to return
If I get that van back, Man, the road I'm gonna burn
Right now my future's in the hand of them boys down at Firestone
Stuck in Indianapolis feeling all alone

[Chorus]
Is this hell or Indianapolis with no way to get around

That hasn't been my experience in Milwaukee.

People in Madison have been pretty nice. That's about it.

Gas station attendants? Are you referring to the ones stuck inside the Circle K mini mart? Cuz no one has pumped gas for me except me and my coworker.

And btw, I was referring to the road-rage type drivers that I've encountered. While supporting your fine midwest establishments and eateries, I've met some very nice people.

Since moving to the Midwest i've encountered the worst customer service....of course now that we've decided we're moving we've met a few cool people (i stress a few).

General observation: Not many latins in Decatur or St Louis.

Shouldda let me know when you were gonna be there. It's not New York or Chicago or anything, but there's always something to do. Last night, there was a good Irish band at the Dubliner, two punk shows at the Way Out and Creepy Crawl, Indie Rock at Lemmons, Top calss jazz (although a bit pricey) at Jazz on the Bisto, a good rockabilly band with a local jazz/blues sax player opening at Beal on Broadway. There's a couple decent hip hop bars, a few places that play electronic music, a couple palces with live Reggae all the time. IT was a bit of a slow night, but there's still stuff to keep ya occupied...just gotta know where to look. Most local stuff isn't really well advertised.

There ain't shit out by the airport if that's where you were, but head into the city and you can find stuff to do.

And, yes, people around here drink alot. And, you can smoke in all the bars. People are moderately friendly, but tend to be sarcastic, so you gotta know that. I got into trouble when I moved up to Michigan... sarcasm up there seems to make people wanna kick your ass.

Practiacally none in Decatur...St. Louis you gotta go to South City...or across the river in Fairmont City.

Once you pass a certain age, when you move somewhere, you don't really meet people. Cool or otherwise, its hard to make what you consider "friends."

For the record, I'm still in St Louis and staying at the Hilton Airport. I've a flight later this afternoon and am hoping it gets me home tonight.

Smoking in bars? In that case, I'm glad I didn't go anywhere...huge turn off for me. (I'm allergic to smoke)

For those who care, I'll be back next month. Hopefully, the weather is better.

At least you'll get to spend your birthday at home. :)
