I don't know what you guys had in your coffee this morning but geez, calm the fuck down. It's one disagreement after another today.

Can't we all just get along? I know, I know, I sound like a fag...so I'll shut up now.

Oh, that's right. You should be excited, especially since we may have a blizzard this weekend. Lucky bastard.

wait what?

i mean, there's been the whimp-ass bitching about "oh you don't like the band i like you HATER!!!!!" stuff, but that's endemic to any music board in the history of jesus.

i guess what i mean is: what did i miss?

Yeh, this place has been way too entertaining today, and I got a shitload of work staring me in the face. So stop it all of you. Get thee back to dullsville. Make a few lists or something.

If you let me know the approx. time of your Amoeba arrival, I might be able to arrange some Obnerite meeting time - there's not much out there that I want/need right now, but I do have a big bag of stuff to trade in...

I know Lou Barlow is playing next Thurs. but, then again, it'd probably be less hectic for a non-weekend/in-store thing...let me know after touchdown, Captain...

Hey

Well I have been in constant communication with Dri and Tania bout this...I think we may be leaning towards a Tuesday evening get together.

My weekend got filled up with work related items, although I will get a prelim visit thru their doors.....

Monday night Im going to the infamous Metal Shop Mnday night thingee with my editor.... But from Tuesday at 3pm and on, I am 100% available, and hope to see at least some of ya....

Fingerprints, Arons and Secodn Spin will also be hit at some point....

Hey postmersh (what is your name anyway?), I think I was going to meet Dov on Tuesday night, probably around 7-8 (I'll be coming up from Anaheim so pending on traffic). You should definitely come meet us up, it'd be great to meet ya since you're a fellow SoCal obnerite. But, plans haven't been finalized yet.

And T & Damen, you guys come out too.

OH SNAP.

But isn't you making comments like that a bit hypocritical in relation to this thread?

sorry for this hijack, but the Connie thread was deleted and chase had posed the question as to what people found that was so mysoginstic in that thread?

Was it mysogynistic because of the subject matter? It's an article in a nationally published music mag. Was is bad because of the rock star's behavior?

This is a person who I actively sought out these people to engage in that sort of behavior and enjoyed it. I think she feels she is very liberated.

I don't think anyone actually thinks that the defiling of women is something to laugh at but I think this case is different.

It was offensive to me at least because of the language the poster used to describe the woman in the article. I didn't read the actual article and so can't speak to its offensiveness or otherwise, but am perfectly willing to consider the possiblity that the article itself was a celebration of the woman in questions sexuality.

Also, 18th rate spinster? Bwahahahaha.

Also, way to go, mods.
