HOLLIES!!!
Definitely.
"Kill Me Quick"
"Sorry Suzanne"
"Now's The Time"
"On a Carousel"
"Stop Stop Stop"
damn... just about anything from the 60's. (And a couple od great songs from the 70's, too.)

I'll try to remember to bring in my 30th Anniv. Collection on Monday and rip some songs for you, if you like.

I don't know what your ruling on The Bee Gees is, but their debut was recorded in London, so if it's in you can throw on "Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show You" or "New York Mining Disaster 1941". The latter has more of a Brit Invasion flavor, but it's a bit of a downer.

Completely wrong on this.
But the Bee Gees is a damn good suggestion (although they're Aussie, not British).

That's why he said he didn't know the ruling on them but that the debut was recorded in London.

Thought he was referring to the quality of the music.
Okay.

This should help. It's the complete track list of Rhino's 9 volume "The British Invasion: History of British Rock" series. The first 80 tracks is specifically British Invasion/Merserybeat era; the remaining songs are later and lesser-known stuff. (They're missing the Dave Clark Five and Herman's Hermits--licensing nightmares, I expect.)

What about some early Brit birds?
Dusty Springfield - I Only Want to Be With You, You Don't Have to Say You Love Me
Petula Clark - Downtown, I Know a Place

You sometimes forget they were part of the Invasion, but how about some of the lesser-known early Stones singles? Throw on "I Wanna Be Your Man" to sneak a little Lennon-McCartney into the mix.

Bee Gees were only kind-of-Australian. All born in England. Spent teen years in Australia. Tried to make it in Australia through the early-mid 60's. Returned to England mid-60's. Maybe 1967, I think?

I thought it Unit 4 + 2, not 5 + 2, but maybe I'm wrong.

Great song either way though.

Graham Gouldman's original would (probably) be a new take on a known song.

Also, what about Spencer Davis Group?

Penecost Hotel - Nirvana
My Clown - July
When the Night Falls - The Eyes
My White Bicycle - Tomorrow
My Friend Jack - The Smoke
Itchycoo Park - Small Faces

maybe something off the Action "Rolled Gold" I don't really know it well enough to pick a song.

Definitely agree with the Todd on Billy Nicholls
