so I go out to my truck this morning, and somebody broke out the passanger side window and stole the stero, which is one of those detach able face ones. They took the face but left the rest, maybe something scared him/her/them off. I have an older truck with just liability insurance on it, so now I'll have to pay out of pocket to replace the window and stereo. I have an alarm on my truck, but for what ever reason, I didn't hear it go off last night. I guess this comes with the territory, living in the city and having on street parking. This is the second time may truck has been broken into. just needed to vent...thanks

Wow that sucks. I'll go stand in the street and try to get some money to help you pay for that...no joke.

I remember the same thing happening to me a few years back. I'd foolishly forgotten to detach the faceplate at night, and the next morning the window was broken and the faceplate was stolen. I immediately got the window fixed and put in an insurance claim. The very next night, the fuckers came back for the rest of the stereo. Another broken window. Lots more damage. So keep an eye and ear open, Freshstart.

Also, you should be informed that the army is billing you US$247.98 for the broken window.

Same thing happened to me. I took it as a sign, and upgraded my radio to Satellite Radio. Best thing ever...can't live without it.

So that is my silver lining...

Go to a junk yard and try to find a replacement pane of glass. It might be a pain to install though.

Once my passanger side window was smashed but nothing, not even loose change, was taken. I think it was some fucking teenagers that lived down the street.
