What are the best combination of two voices that you can think of?

My top 3:
Gram and Emmylou
Marvin and Tammy
Don and Phil

I've never liked X very much. Respected, yeah, but found many of the songs to be ordinary rave-ups.

Always were one of my favorites and still are. They were one of a select few who were able to meld american roots music and punk. And, sure, they kept things pretty simple, but for me that back to basics rockabily style was one of the biggest attractions. And, they were one of the few bands who kinda spanned the bridge between the early punk stuff and the emerging hardcore scene.

Oh, and add the Everly Brothers.

And about a hundred doo wop groups.

otis (redding) and carla (thomas). while better on their own, this album is excellent from two of stax's best talents.

It's the only Indigo Girls album I have. Their vocals are just amazing together.
