that have to do with jesus, or mention jesus, but they have to have the man's name in the song somewhere, not necessarily in the title. and i'm not looking for overtly christian stuff, just something that mentions jesus.

i'm also hoping to make a tape for my friends who are about to have a baby.
one side will be songs about girls, and the other obviously about boys.

(ps: not that i'm a big poster here, but i'm back on the net finally. i moved and had to find jobs and shite.)

thanks in advance.

Off the top of my head,

Chumbawamba have 'Jesus In Vegas' and 'Look, No Strings' (Next we'll be hearing the true story of an American housewife who claims to have taken mid-air photographs of Jesus Christ in the skies of Indiana.)

REM have 'Voice of Harold' (The Joy of Knowing Jesus!), 'New Test Leper' (He did make some observations...) and 'Make It All OK' (Jesus loves me just fine...)

About half of all U2 songs before 1995.

Everyone sings about Jesus! This should be easy.

This song is the only one on that album that I consistently skip - if not for "pt. 1", this would probably be one of my top 10 albums of all time...

Hmm... Baby songs, eh?

Sonic Youth - Superstar (carpenters cover)
Pernice Bros. Baby in Two (though a bit macabe)
(Smog) - held
Pinback - shag
