did it portray them as retards? because my uncle is a mormon, and that's how I'd have portrayed them.

I don't think we have a mormon here, just some folks who live in Utah. No, I haven't been watching, but they are kind of a fascinating sociological study.

I tried to think of the most harmless thing. Something I loved from my childhood. Something that could never ever possibly destroy us . . . Mr. Stay Puft!

The south park episode dealing with Mormonism was the best.

One of my friends married a "mormon" girl. My assumption is that she was only nominally so. Her parents were NOT happy that she was marrying a dude who was a part of the Eastern Orthodox church. Normally, I guess, he wouldn't be allowed in a service. However, while we were all in Idaho, her and her family went to some huge Mormo-conference in Utah, Provo maybe. He told me later that he never felt more out of place. He didn't get told that he could not be there for the conference, but he certainly didn't feel welcome. I guess it was like they could tell he wasn't a mormon. haha.

NonMormons have a smell to them. We can't smell it because we're nonMormons, but it's there. Why were you in Idaho for this Mormoconference?

And no, Monty, my friend wasn't on Underage & Engaged. She did date a bunch of Mormons in a row, though.

You can get immunized against that, you know.

I was only there because I was visiting my friend on my way out to CA. However, my short stay ended up lasting a few months. Actually, in Idaho is when I first posted on CMJ for the first time. But, I didn't go to the conference.

I have a friend who is strangely mormon. I helped out his church back in Athens with a few things, and found them to be nice folks who never pressured me about anything (I fucking HATE that shit).

I caught this special on pbs, yes. Really interesting. And mormonism is right on par with Scientology. Aka, "here's an exciting new story. Believe it, then follow me, so I can stop working for other people."

(don't know why else you'd pee in the crapper ... on your tip toes)

normally, i'd be like "hell yea, stick it to the maaaan"

but since this bathroom
is in a highschool
and shared with the students
...
it's effed up and just plain wrong
