what sort of iPod do y'all have? (those of you who have them)

i was tossing up between 20gb and 40gb, the debacle being i could get a 20gb NOW, or a 40gb in two weeks when i have more money than now, ie. more than no money at all. Being the impatient idiot that i am, i chose the 20gb...

I've got the 20gb and it's suits me just fine. I usually dont import entire albums, just select songs. If I was going to try and put my entire collection on the iPod, which might not happen anyway, I'd get the 40

60g Ipod Photo.

20 gigs of songs on it now, some photos, and plenty of room for bringing projects home from work.

Love it....

I have a job. Shit, I own my own business. I own my own house. I own a brand new truck. I use I-tunes. (7923 songs and rising).

Why then can't I afford 400 clams for an Ipod?

I don't get it.

Like Timmy, I have a 3rd generation 15GB version, two years old, and I love it, and it works great. I need new headphones, though.

Holy shit, you can do that? Is it easy? Does it take a software upgrade?

40gb 3rd gen (had to send the joint back immediately before the warranty expired to replace the battery), envious of the gf's 60gb photo. i shall steal it under cover of night. actually, i should probably just swap the drives when she's at work. has anyone changed the graphics on theirs? i'm going to clandestinely "update" the gf's with this when she goes to work today.

I have a Creative Zen and I'm feeling slightly discriminated against in this thread.

You took the words right out of my fingers.

I love my zen. Time for all non-Ipods to get the love and respect they deserve.

This may be bad form, but I intentionally bought some after market headphones so I dont have a white cord hanging around my neck making me look like a target. I figure, why advertize it.

Is that wrong???

BTW .. Sorry Timmy, You have a Nordic Wife, you can't have it all....)

I don't use the white headphones either....

20 GB 4th gen... I should've waited to get the extra $100 to buy a 40 GB but, with my cash influx vs. bills, I never know when I'll have money.

<- bad at budgeting

Therefore, took the flier on the 20 GB with the knowledge that I'll upgrade it in a few years, and that I'll have to shuffle stuff on/off of it for now.....

A 40g I received for Christmas in 2003.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to survive a car ride of any length without it now.
