I'm liking Phoenix early. Shaq has been really effective in the first couple of games. Matt Barnes is a HUGE pickup for them as well.

Houston will be formidable, but I predict big injuries for at least one of their big 3.

I caught the Celtics / Bulls game the other day. Chicago are just terrible, they have absolutely no possible way of getting points in the paint. They would get whooped by some college teams.

And the Cavs look worse than ever. What a terrible franchise still riding on nothing more than the luck of one huge lottery pick.

I still think it's gonna wind up being another Lakers / Celtics final.

Cavs look bad now but having the best player in the league and the right to trade Wally should make them conference finalists. I'm really intrigued with the Houston experiment so far. not buying your Suns enthusiasm though.

I've never been a Suns enthusiast before, but they've looked really good in the two games I've seen so far. They've really tightened up defensively.

yeah they played well against a 400 year old Spurs team, I didn't see the other game, but I expect injuries to decimate them and I hate Barbosa.

blazers early schedule is really fucking rough, but I call for around 46/47 wins and batting for that 8th spot in the west.

at lakers
spurs
at suns
at jazz
houston
twolves
at magic
at heat
at hornets

Shaq's gonna get tired. a lot.

Houston has a lot of potential. and injury potential. and craziness potential.

I like Brand on the Sixers, but they looked terrible the other night against the Raptors.

eh. You probably follow the Phils a loc closer than I do.

but yeah, this team has some serious potential. I think Sammy D is gonna look a lot better this year with Brand to work with. There's a few X factors (L. Williams, Thad Young, the leadership qualities of Donyell Marshall), but overall we are looking good.

I don't know what the Hornets have to do to make believers out of people.

Lack of bench was the common criticism of the Celtics at the start of last season.

Yes, and that's why they added proven bench players in PJ Brown and Sam Cassell midseason.

Agreed with the Hornets giving a good challenge to the Lakers.

In today's saddest stat of the game: The Hawks are 2-0 for the first time since the 98-99 lockout season!

WE ARE.........................THE HIGHLIGHT FACTORY!

Seriously though, lost in the local sports shuffle this past weekend was the Hawks beating the Sixers after being 23 points down.

The referees in that game last night should have all been wearing green. A bunch of fucking bullshit.

I haven't paid that much attention to a November NBA game in years.

Hawks didn't even have Josh Smith for the game. Our bench is so much better this year already. I certainly don't feel too bad today about that loss.

I am not enjoying this season so far, and have grave doubts my enjoyment is likely to significantly increase anytime soon.

:(

You'll be right. They'll make a solid addition sometime soon to shore up their bench.

Everyone writes them off at the start of the season. It's the Spurs. They're going to the WCF at least.
