Found this on a blog I read.

This particular post will appeal to the Obner gastronomes, GAR, Bloor, Derris and others who are into traditionally "manly" things like scotch, straight razors with shaving foam applied by a brush and probably really like Mad Men too.

Don't forget physical workout routines, they're elementary to a healthy life. Our granddads didn't use to sit hours on end behind a computer.

The problem with these type of lists and other "macho" proclamations is that they can be oversimplified. For instance: My grandfather, a Navy veteran who ate like this and had a garden where he grew his own veggies died at 71 from an aneurysm and had a massive beer gut even though he didn't drink. They forget to mention it also helps to have good genes.

Just for shits & giggles I'll write what I've had to eat today:
breakfast I had a bowl of Cinnamon-Streusel frosted Mini-Wheats.

lunch I had a cup of New England Clam Chowder and a fried oyster basket with fries and two Yeungling drafts at Batter'd and Fried Boston Seafood House.

One grandfather is 5-4 and weighs 120 lbs.

The other has dementia.

I randomly remembered this site today. Probably would appeal to quite a few Obs

http://www.artofmanliness.com it has way more entries than the grandfather diet plan, i.e. A Man's Life, Dress & Grooming, Health & Sports, Manly Skills, Money & Career, Relationships & Family, Community & Man Knowledge

Time to lose some weight Bob, your sons will be glad if you can stick around longer than 59. And so will we.

Bobbo, I feel ya, and I'm not the one to preach about weight loss considering my failure to do so, but a little exercise and eating right will help you deal with the "blues" too.
