i wouldn't want timmy (or anyone else) to have to scroll all the way to a third page to see who's on a late night talk show, so this thread starts over...

joanna newsom on jimmy kimmel
futureheads on conan
robbers on high street on carson daly

man, she is so much better at what she does than i am. goodness.

i would pay top dollar for a live recording of one of her shows. even with her vocals faltering a bit, she was absolutely magnificent.

This is great... I was about to ask if anyone grabbed her performance last night, since I got home too late to see it. But this is even better!

Hey 'spoon, is this album still sitting well with you a couple months later? I believe you and I are the only ones to give it a #1 in our Shmoopoll ranks. I still love it, but perhaps spin other 2004 albums more often now. If I had to redo my ranks it would still be top 3 for sure, though.

I might rank it # 4 or 5 at this point, but yeah I still love it. I've conceded that's she's one off-kilter cookie and her lyrics are a bit ridiculous, but they're inventively and appealingly ridiculous.

Maybe she'll do a metal album next and really mess with people.

Thats right, I forgot you unofficially bumped the loopy Ms. Newsom for the kooky Mr. Shatner. ;)

A Shatner/Newsom collab with Bejar producing would kinda interest me. Well, more than kinda.

Incorrect. I had it at #1 though I can't recall what my #2 was now.

I thought the Death From Above 1979 performance on Conan was great. Max played drums for them!

Bejar deferrs production to the resident JC/DC crew...a.k.a. John Collins (Resident Producer). If you meant Bejar as a songwriter/arranger, I'd understand...

He can be a generalized studio Svengali/Freak, like Ben Folds if there were something seriously wrong with him.
