Dead Milkmen: Big Lizard in My Backyard & Beelzebubba

I always think this band is underrated. I mean, yeah it's just silliness. But, the songs are fun and catchy, good sarcastic delivery and it's just hard to listen to them without getting a smile on your face. And, they were a great band live on the couple of occasions I recall. The debut is my favorite, but there's at least a song or two on most of their albums I really like, suck as...

Stuart
You know what Stuart? I like you. You're not like the other people here
in the trailer park. Oh no, don't get me wrong, they're fine people, good
Americans. But they're content to sit back, maybe watch a little Mork and
Mindy on channel 57. Maybe kick back a cool Coors 16-ouncer. They're
good fine people, Stuart. But they don't know what the queers are doing
to the soil.

I love those records. My favorite song is probably "My Many Smells".
And, by the way, Joe Jack Talcum is going back on tour.

Page here has acoustic versions of a couple of tunes:

Dig it.

Man. I guess I didn't give this album the props it was due during the Shmoo Poll for last year. If I had, it would certainly had made my Top 20.

Don't know if it's the weather or what but this is sounding great today. If I had a deck and a cold beer I'd be just about content.
