not summer here until about the middle of July. also havent heard too many good summer anthems yet...I will peruse the ideas here.

Yeah, nothing has presented itself as of yet. At least nothing on the level that MGMT's "Time To Pretend" or "Electric Feel" was last summer.

I've heard some great songs this year but, to me, the "summer jam" should be hooks galore and sound huge.

it fails Derris's criteria for a proper summer anthem (with which I agree), but so far Wilco (the song) has got top billing.
