I'm going to go out on a limb and say the album cover is better than the music.

What I've heard of the 2007 album was pretty damn good, so I wouldn't take a bet on that. (Either way, actually.) But I do have high hopes.

I thought Beyond was really awful. I still like their 80s stuff. Never liked Green Mind or anything after. I think their self-titled album is one of the most underrated albums ever...it might be my favorite album by them.

I'll give it a go-round. Beyond was decent, but I don't find myself pulling it out to listen to it.

Listened to the first half of this and it's exactly what I expected. It's hard to say it's bad, but it's so goddamn boring that it makes it bad. I just can't imagine anyone listening to this and getting really excited about it.

This was one of the problems when I saw them last month. New stuff just kinda fell flat compared to things that had been road-tested for years.

*WARNING--cliche ahead* I actually liked Beyond, though it certainly doesn't hold a candle next to their older stuff. It never fully clicked but I did give it many, many spins.

I only heard the singles off Beyond, but Almost Ready stacks up against anything they've ever done.

I like all the songs I've heard from Farm so far and am pretty confident I'll like it better than Beyond. I Don't Wanna Go There is sort of stupid lyrically but the guitar work is what makes that song so I'm fine with it.

It seems like this is a mellower side of Dino which I've always liked so I'm ok with it being less loud than the old stuff. Of course, this band would have to do something completely out of the ordinary for me not to absolutely love it and needless to say, it's my most anticipated album of the year by far.

That's one of the two Lou Barlow songs.

After one listen, I got pretty sreepy, too. I'll give it more listens, but it sounds like rehash to me.

After one listen, I like this about as much as I liked Beyond, which is to say I enjoy most songs and also the guitar sound.

I didn't listen to Beyond much after a few weeks though, so we will see.

I've got an 18x24" poster of the cover. If anyone wants it, lemme know.
