hey now.
I had ABBA, S.O.S. all typed out, and thought better of it.

... thought I'd unleash the critics. But when she says "I wish I uhunderstyooood"... that rocks, in a "English as a second language" kinda way, not unlike Roxette or the Cardigans.

This ties in nicely with Bloor's old theory of an underground bunker in the fjords of Sweden where top-notch hitmakers crank out super-catchy bands upon unsuspecting American / European markets every 7 or 8 years.

It's true. I know him, and he does.

I'd also like to throw in a vote for William Hung. His butchering of Elton John's "Rocket Man" ("Wocket Man" if you will) is something for the ages

Like me.

(sniff sniff) So I can come out of the ABBA closet now?

whew.

While we're taking things out of the closet, Busty bought the Maroon 5 album.

Well, I feel better!

I DO NOT own that album asshole. I DO like one of the songs off of it though. That I'll admit to. I'd own up if it was true. I swear you've got the memory of a tree trunk.

I own it. But I didn't buy it. Music director's comp. Haven't listened to it since last fall, though.

Me too, ever since I had their self titled when I was 6 or 7. They just stuck with me. It's not like I kept buying all their albums, just ABBA Gold.

Would Groundskeeper Willie's rendition of Petula Clark's "Downtown" during auditions to replace Chief Wiggum in The Be-Sharps qualify?

yeah... "Dooon Tooooon!"

And to Busty, apologies, but I had it on good authority that you had indeed purchased the Maroon 5 album. The wife never forgets ANYTHING, and she swore to it. I'll let her know she was wrong.
