There was a "Wild Card weekend" thread so I thought I'd put up a general playoffs thread.

Wow.

That didn't take long.

Also:

1) Does Kenny Albert look like a burn victim to anyone else?

2) Moose Johnston is more tan that Ronnie and Pauly D put together. Jesus.

Hadda watch the baby this morning and then run some errands and do the grocery shopping this afternoon...I can't believe how happy I am to be settling in for some football on a rainy afternoon.

America. Fuck Yeah.

When the Cardinals are playing, I barely miss the Arena League.

Dude, these rules to protect the QB are out of control.

Anybody else ever seen a Cardinals-Saints game before? I'm pretty sure this is my first.

fuck yes. long day of travel yesterday, blustery wet day here, so I am drinking coffee and watching some of this while the kid naps and the wife shops.

hoping to see a 70 to 63 game and plenty of shots of Warner's wife up in the rapey seats.

Leinart in at QB for the second half = Mississippi Gang Rape Scenario (killed @ The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally)

Seriously, worst NFL playoffs thread in my 10 year existence on these boards.

Then again, AWFUL fucking games tonight.

Seriously, I was under the misguided impression that this was where we talked about the games. Guess not.

My take from the second game: The Colts are really good and can win ugly if necessary. Like I think they are a lot more gritty than the conventional wisdom. Also, you can only attribute a team that goes after and strips so many balls to good coaching and discipline. The Ravens would do well to take notes going forward because the most impressive stat I heard last night was that the Ravens lead the league in pass interference penalties. Not so good.

Ed Reed is truly a BAAAAD man, though. One of those picks he got called back was kinda bunk.

Anyway, Cowboys v Vikes today. I have a large group of expat fans keyed up to watch the Second Cowboys Playoffs Game of the Millenium!

I saw on the scroll too that Eh Ree is considering retiring. Damn shame if so but hey, do your thing dude--see you in Canton.

I guess pulling for the Vikes today would put me at odds with the board's Cowboy AND Packers contingents? I like it.

We all know you hate success.

How long REEEEEE been in the League 10-11 years? He should play a few more and retire before he is forced into a "Ronnie Lott Memorial Shame Tour" of sorry teams and franchises just to keep playing.

Yeah, my only vested interest in that game is Grantham.

What is better? Him losing and and hitting the recruiting trail tomorrow or winning the Super Bowl and having that to tell recruits about ( AFTER signing day)??

Regardless, this is easily the marquee match up of the weekend.

I'm torn over who to root against... I guess I hate the Cowboys more than I hate the Vikes.

I can't decide if my hatred of Favre or the Cowboys will win out.

I think I'll root for the Boys today, and hope they get creamed by the Saints next week.

I was at the local bar for both games yesterday... thankfully we owned the pool table, so I didn't have to watch those horrible matchups.
