Fantomas - Amenaza al Mundo
Joe Pisapia - Daydreams
Self - Gizmodgery
Wire - Pink Flag
Souled American - Around the Horn

That Fantomas record is kicking my ass all over the place. I really need to get into more Patton stuff; he is woefully unrepresented in my music collection.

holy flashbacks - i don't think i've listened to this album in maybe 18 or 19 years. good stuff, but would've held "classic echo" status if ian were singing.

Tim Barry: 28th & Stonewall

Ex-lead singer of Avail (a band I've heard of but couldn't name one song from, but apparently means something to some people) puts out his third solo album and it's pretty dang good. Mostly a rootsy, Americana , folksy kinda thing that rocks a bit in places. His voice has an earnest quality that lends itself well to this setting. Just starting to get a listen to this so haven't firmly made up my mind but sio far so good if not a lot of variation. Alt-country, folk fans will dig this.

Nice! I was going to order this. There is a limited ed. vinyl version on black/white and a grey one. Plus you can get a deluxe set with a pint glass, shot glass, tee, and can koozie. Vinyl Collective also is selling all 3 of his previous records for $5/each.

I really like PG, so I should probably preface that before I write another word. About what you'd expect from an orchestral covers album from PG. His version of "Flume" is actually pretty amazing. Really love the orchestration behind his voice. Mark my words, a number of these songs will be on a soundtrack before the year's out.

posted over in TWENTYTEN, btw.
