So every year for the Krewe of Eris, a group 62 rag-tag musicians form and follow the parade playing music. They recorded it and printed 1,000 copies. It's a true field recording with background noises of sirens, paraders, etc. It's like being there and it's awesome.

It's vinyl only. If this generates any interest, I'll consider transfering it to mp3s. Also, I haven't seen it outside of UK websites besides my local record store. http://www.honestjons.com/shop.php?pid=36198&CatID=124

RIYL: Brass bands, rebirth, mardi-gras, roots music.

I tried to find somebody of that sort that I could like that nobody else did - because everybody would adopt his group, and his group would be _it_; someone weird like Captain Beefheart. It's no different now - people trying to outdo ! each other in extremes. There are people who like X, and there are people who say X are wimps; they like Black Flag.
