I just got back from the show a little while ago.
DFA were pretty cool, however, just about every fucking song sounds the same. They are just too limited with only drums and bass.

Controller Controller, however, blew them off the stage.
I was very glad to see them, and plan on buying their record.

I talked (very briefly) with the singer from Controler Controler
she was sitting at a table all by her lonesome self, so i decided to go over to her and tell her that i enjoyed the show and that they blew DFA out of the water.

She became very excited and said thanks...and then gave me her number.

I gave her mine as well.

Oh shit, thats her right now....gotta botty call to attend to.

Ok, only half of it was true.

Hey....wait a moment!
I'm handsome, a gent, scholar, and know how to treat a little lady.

It's Gregg, by the way.

Like I said, whe was by herself so I wanted to at least tell her that they put on a good show.

In all honesty, I really got into their music, but not so much the vocals.

Hehe...Gregg, a boy can dream, it's cool. ;)

Seriously, though, am looking forward to checking 'em out when they come to my town in a couple of weeks.

Fuck yes.... this makes me very happy. I'm going for Controller.Controller only (but wouldn't mind checkin out DFA). "Disco Blackout" drives me nuts every time I play it... one complaint I have about their album- it's too short. Way too short.

T you gonna be at the Echo show?

Yay! I will see you there! Actually, I think I might have the pleasure of seeing you 3 times next week.... Bloc Party, Controller x2, and *crosses fingers* Doves (I have to talk to Eddie b/c I know it's a sold-out show). That'd be rad.

Oh, and isn't Whiney's band playing in Long Beach? That venue is walking distance from my house, but it looks like the show might've gotten cancelled according to the Koo's website. Bummer.
