i went to see No BS Brass Band tonight. The crowd went nuts when they played a cover Take On Me. I don't honestly remember the last time i went out on a weeknight.

i'm surprisingly not as drunk as i thought i would be tonight.

Had a couple young ladies over for dinner last night and one of them showed up with a rather large box of wine. That shit may taste like ass, but ya know, some nights it just don't matter.

Had 2 beers as I took care of the baby and then rewired a lamp after she went to sleep. Wife was at a big meeting until 9. Would've been 4 beers but those were the last 2 in the house... bicycling to work has fucked up my whole rotation this week.

so far i've made three pizzas from scratch, drank some shiner pilsener, some lonestar, some fireman's four, and some beam and gingerale, and i've got a gig in two hours.

i feel happy but not silly, and i realize as I type this, that I just haven't drunk much in the past couple of years if this piddling little amount over the course of an afternoon can make me feel like this. Used to have almost no affect until I'd slammed a whole shit ton in a half hour and then maintained.

I guess that's growing up.
