i think i cheated. also, i am really surprised that the national record is getting love in here. i will try to get into it yet again, but i really have never put so much effort into liking a record with no results.

I love the new National record, it'll be top 5 for me. They've quickly become one of my favorite bands going right now. They do just it for me.

Beach House will also probably be up there. I burned myself out on it the first few months of the year and it didn't get played much at all during the summer, though.

J. Roddy or DBT are probably my most listened to albums after that.

If you like Menomena, I don't see not liking this record. There are one or two skippable tracks, but compared to everything else I've heard, it's still in my top three. I sort of have that "can do no wrong" attitude about Menomena. So I recommend them, but don't come knocking down my door for wasting your time if you don't like it. haha
