Here it is and sort of incomplete. Lot of stuff I need to listen to or listen to more but chances of that happening in a reasonable time are very remote. Some of the stuff at the bottom would probably move up if I listen to more. Most of the top 10 was stuff I heard when I had more available time to devote to music. Anyway...

1. Harlem - Hippies
2. Tennis - Baltimore EP
3. Free Energy - Stuck On Nothing
4. Aerial Pink - Before Today
5. The Walkmen - Lisbon
6. The Soft Pack - The Soft Pack
7. Waaves - King of the Beach
8. The Parting Gifts - Strychnine Dandelion
9. Dylan Leblanc - Pauper's Field
10. phosphorescent - here's to taking it easy
11. The Goodnight Loving - The Goodnight Loving
12. Black Keys - Brother
13. Spoon - Transference
14. The Henry Clay People - Somewhere on the Golden Coast
15. Ben Sollee & Daniel Martin - Dear Companion
16. J. Roddy Walston - S/T
17. Jim Jones Revue - Burning Down Your House
18. Alejandro Escovedo - Street Songs of Love
19. Biters- Biters
20. Dan Kelly - Dan Kelly's Dream

Calling me cajun cunt, doing the stupid posting style like it makes you original. Just generally trying too hard.

It's a little odd that you hated so many of these albums since a lot of them are common to most lists. And the ones that aren't wouldn't seem that offensive. It's hard for me to believe you really hated the Dylan Leblanc album or Soft Pack for that matter. But hey, if the Goodnight Loving fires the Jerkass passion of hate, by all means hate away. It only makes me like them more that you hate them. Should I have written this in a haiku?

I don't mean to interrupt, but three albums in your top 10 will likely be in my top 10 as well. Ariel Pink, The Walkmen, and Wavves.

Surprised that given my taste I'd like it so much or surprised that anyone would rank it so high? I ask because I kind had second thoughts about ranking it number 1. I know it's probably not the "best" album but I found myself listening to it more than any other album this year and enjoying more than any other album.

Probably more of the latter. I thought only maybe 3 people here liked it. Have you heard their first album?

Also, was it you that liked that Happy Birthday album?

np: Harlem "Hippies"

I have Free Drugs sitting on my hard drive but I haven't listened to it yet. Which Happy Birthday album is this?

Free Drugs is pretty good. The new one is probably a little more polished but not much.

Happy Birthday album review on 130bpm

I think this was probably the biggest song off it.

I'll make a list that defines my musical interests and you'll find a reason to hate it as well.
It really doesn't matter.
Take it personally.
But I don't like any of those albums.

Who gives a fuck?!
I DON'T
(well to clarify, I give a fuck about those albums, but the retarded retort, i do.)

Put yourself out there and you need to expect these sorts of things.
This is a congregation of know-nothing know it alls.
Tears.
So many fucking tears you cunt.

hippies is a good record - one of the sleepers of 2010. it's a short, fun spin & the band really appeals to small people. my kids like to bust a move to someday soon & sing the 'please put me out' chorus. introduce this to the chitlins.

Jerkass, I'm really looking forward to seeing your list. When I find out your #1 pick, I'm going to turn your girlfriend/wife into a dirty dishrag (all holes) while listening to it, that way you'll always have fond memories of it.

nothing personal, it's just something that needs to be done.

Moxie's description below is pretty good. Clearly, nothing ground-breaking. Garage-y album of catchy fun songs. Lots of humor to them if slight. Saw em live, there's two singers who alternate between vocals/guitars and playing the drums. Seemed like they kind of hated each other, which added a little tension to the live show and made it more fun.

I can up it for you if you like but I know your searching skills are unparalleled.

Worm of an album. Crawled inside my head when I didn't want it to.

Thought you might also like the Tennis on my list as well, Dale.

I'm just surprised that I haven't even bothered to hear 8 of your top 10, considering how similar our tastes usually are.

I might have to go on a downloading spree. I figured that Ariel Pink was similar to Jiu Jiu or whatever that dude's name is , considering the dog-fucker album art, and dog-fucker listeners.

I think I actually prefer Free Drugs to Hippies but both are solid, not spectacular IMO.
