Ken Seeno - Invisible Surfer On An Invisible Wave

Why yes, cassette only. Ambient-ish electronics that occasionally lapse into something meatier. No vocals, light and shimmering.

Darryl Jenifer: In Search of Black Judas

Bad Brains bassist releases his first solo project on ROIR records and it's been worth the wait. I'll take this over the HR solo stuff any day. It starts out with a brief spoken introduction before the snarling guitars roll in and the music opens with an almost I Against I sort of vibe, just making sure you know this is one of the Bad brains here. After that, it settles back into some experimental dub mixed with straight reggae and a bit of quiet storm, with occasional moments of those familiar guitars rearing their heads. I'm really digging this one. Obviously not for the reggae purists, but if you're looking for some laid back dubby sounds and want something new, you could do a hell of a lot worse.

Water: Dialysis

Cut and paste collage art noise music. For fans of The Books, Eno and other such things. A bit heavier in spots than either, but it ebbs and flows. Really digging this. Sounds a bit like Tobacco in its more hectic moments when they mix some bass into the thing.
