Hyena's Comedy Club in Dallas has open mic night every Wednesday. Big Dave Yoda Talkin' browbeat me into giving it a try last night. Mexican Junior shot video. Once it's been uploaded, I'll post it here and share with y'all.

Was supposed to be a 4-5 minute set, but I mis-timed the amount of material needed, so it ended up being just under 2 minutes.

It was actually pretty thrilling. A big group of the guys who were there do it every Wednesday night, so I may have inadvertently stumbled onto a new hobby/obsession. I have no musical talent, so this is probably the closest I could ever come to being in a band.

after doing some checking, turns out there's an open mic night at a different club every night from mon.-thurs.

looks like i'll have plenty of opportunities to hone my craft (as james lipton would so nauseatingly put it)

Nice work Bob! This is pretty damn balsy for sure. I sure as hell wouldn't dream of getting on a stage and attempting to make people laugh. Most comedians are self-loathing, and you've got that going for you :wink:
