I recently met my first North Koreans. There is a restaurant that is run as a charity to support North Korean defectors in South Korea. The restaurant also employs North Korean defectors so my waiter had lived in North Korea for most of his life. He seemed a bit shy, and had a different accent. He was pretty eager to practice what little English he knew with me. That video is crazy, Korean culture is too send the children to private academies for music, math, English, etc. so they can study for hours and hours every day. In high school they often don't leave school till 9pm or so because they stay after and study. If that's what it's like in the south, I can only imagine what it's like for these kids.

Asians will rule!
