I still like to crank out CD mixes, and occasionally I prepare mock-masters for the band. I've been using Roxio for years, because despite all the extra shit they layer on to their "media suite", I really like Creator Classic for burning audio. The fading / song transition -timing tools are great.

Anyhoo, I've recently upgraded my OS to Windows 7 / 64-bit, which will not run the last stable / mostly BS-free version of Roxio (7.5). So, I need to find another program which will suit my needs.

Can anyone recommend a decent, lean audio cd burning app with transition / timing / fade tools?

I just use iTunes. But then, I don't do any fancy crossfading or anything like that.

I use mixmeister to add transitions and convert to the "master" files, which I then burn with dbPoweramp CD Writer (though Burrrn works just as well).

Usually just iTunes. It's easy and convenient, plus I don't really fuck around with FLAC that much so something like EAC won't make much of a difference. Plus, I'm usually just making mixes for other people since I just plug my phone in in the car.
