tomorrow, i'll be shaving my head in support of this wonderful cause:

http://www.stbaldricks.org/default.asp

anyone ever heard of, or done this?
this is the first year it is being done in boudler, but i guess it is pretty huge across the country.
personally, i have raised almost $700, boulder has raised almost $23,000, and nationwide, st. baldricks is up to $1.4 million in support of finding a cure for childhood cancer.

now, the big question. do i keep my beard after i shave my head?

hopefully monday, i will have an avatar to rival sketch's!

Obviously, I am such a good person, I have been supporting this cause subconsciously for a few years now.

Of all my 10 brothers, living and dead, I'm the only one who's never had a hair problem.

I second that notion...
Livestrong braclets are the devil...

I think I'm just going to support and fight whatever miriad forms of cancer might be living in my body...

Wow, did you ever post something in total innocence and then the moment you hit submit immediately realize that considering the subject matter it could be considered in very bad taste?

Got to that baby just in time. Whew

I'd keep the beard

i usually wear my hair pretty short, but have never gone down to the skin. right now, though, my hair is as long as it's ever been...and the way my hair grows, it's more like an afro than anything else. should make for some interesting before and after shots...i'll make sure i post 'em on monday.

My hair is thick and scrumptious. Sorry cancer, but vanity is priority #1.

Who's with me?

Yeah, you never quite know what to expect until you actually do it. Looks good and I think you could pull it off without the beard if you are still inclined.

With standard Microsoft PhotoViewer, you open it, then go up to Image, then select Resize, change the units to Pixels, then type in 120 for the height, and it will auto-populate the width for you.

Looks great! I've seen much, much uglier heads before.

Hey Jason, now you HAVE to come back to Portland and go to the New Old Lompoc brewpub, where they champion the Bald Guy Brigade (a group founded to celebrate baldness and raise money for Locks of Love, a nonprofit that provides hairpieces for kids undergoing chemotherapy).
