This is a photo for his new film 'House of D' where he plays a mentally challenged person (too bad the oscars just passed). The film looks fucking terrible, but looks as if he had plastic surgery..... or, just some make up for the film.

The look on his face and the words "mentally challenged person" makes me want to avoid this like warm vomit.

I enjoyed One Hour Photo from 2002. He should make dark movies like that more often.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone ever see What Dreams May Come? I was always interested in renting it but wanted a second opinion before laying down the money.

It's a bizarre movie and has some big plotholes, but it's visually amazing and well-acted. Worth seeing if only to make you go "ummm...what the fuck was that????"

now that you mention it, i think what's wrong is that for some reason that photo looks like robin williams impersonating david duchovny impersonating a retarded person.

haven't seen "i am sam". "radio" was sweet but kinda dumb.

i'm not rushing to see anything duchovny directs or acts in EXCEPT xfiles2! (which will never happen)

As previously mentioned, plotholes-a-plenty, but it really is visually stunning. They really did make his wife's version of heaven look like a living painting. Pretty neat-o visual tricks going on there. But, in general, a really unsatisfying movie - that's about all I remember. It was dreary and not a repeat-viewer.

i thought what dreams may come was a challenging concept and was well-executed. i don't need to see it repeatedly, but i thought it was decent. i am sam was, i dunno, sucky.

I'm sick of movies with normal actors playing retarded people. I say let retarded people play retarded people. It only seems fair.

Robin Williams is brilliant.
However, whenever he shares a stage with anybody else, he can get really annoying really fast. There is just too much that flies through that brain of his, and it all has to come out NOW!!!

it was almost this way with the bill maher hbo premier last month. robin was on with tommy thompson & some democrat politician and could be seen physically trying to restrain himself from talking. he was even crackin tommy up.

The girl with the glasses is actually Kellie Martin, who was on "ER", along with a host of other stuff...

You obviously aren't well informed about her TV brother in the picture, "Corky"...

I saw that episode too. Williams must either have bipolar disorder or drink a case of Red Bull every morning. The man is pure energy.
