Just heard U2's "Some Days Are Better Than Others" on KEXP. Hadn't thought of that song in a looong time, though it was a "radio hit". I think Zooropa is a highly underrated album.

Just saying.

though I prefer mellow sweet old dogs more than the puppies, i still consider dogs to be the one fatal, fluffy lnk in my otherwise impervious chain mail of booze and cynicism.

Yeah, I like a dog with a grey muzzle and brown eyes that glint flatly with the wisdom of an elder. Ah, Sabre will we ever see your likes again, my dear old dog? Will we ever see your likes again...

this is Casey. The apple of my eye. He just turned 14. He lives in Hawaii now. Forgive the Yankees hat, this pic is old. I have another with him in a Sox hat. We got him when I was 11 and he was 6 weeks old. He really likes bagels. It's fair to say he's my mom's favorite child.

I have a doggie. Her name is Sophie. I'll post a picture and continue the thread hijacking when I get on later.

I agree. Zooropa is my favorite post Achtung Baby U2 album. "The First Time" is my favorite song off of the album.

I love my two dogs too... here's a pic of my Bean boy (my other dog's a black lab, and unfortunately, her features never show up well in pictures-- but look to the left to see her). Both my dogs are older now... Bean is 11 and Loon (the lab) is 9. This picture was taken when Bean was probably 2 or 3.

hey dana, since we got molly, i was told by a photographer friend to shoot black dogs with 100 or 200 ISO film and in the shade for best results. i don't know if you're using digital or not, but usually a digital will allow you to change the ISO setting. it has worked wonderfully for molly so far.

cute pups, by the way!

Thanks, Jason... your babies are pretty cute too!
I'll look into the ISO setting, as I don't have nearly enough cute pictures of Loon. btw, my husband and I always joke that Bean is the one who everyone fawns over just because he's so... pretty. Loon, on the other hand, is our special needs child and is quite the diva at home ("look at me! look at me! pet me! pet me! Nope... too late, I don't want you to pet me anymore" as she moves her head away from your hand)

Here is a picture from a couple of years ago with my oldest son and our German Shepherd, Miranda, who is now 9 and having lots-o-hip problems. I always thought a good indie rock webzine title would be "Hip Displeasure."
