Just because nobody has created it yet.

I wasn't there, but some people I know were, and it sounds like it was just straight up crazy, like people couldn't even see the stage, and getting home afterwards was a nightmare. I'm tired of hearing the song, and he's popping up in every other commercial here. Also every celebrity on Tv has decided that the funniest thing ever is to make their own parodies of the song, so just flipping through channels half the people are doing the dance or talking about it.

Heard it through the grapevine that Nick Curran is dead. Haven't seen confirmation anywhere, but pretty sur eit's accurate, considering the source. I feel like there are a couple fans around here.

He is. JD McPherson announced it from stage on Saturday night in Nashville

This is a testimonial that I recorded with my boys for the WBEZ (Chicago Public Radio) fall pledge drive.
They had us in to the studios to record it during the day and it was a lot of fun! Boys were amazed at all the technology.
It's going to air sometime in the next few days during that pledge drive on 91.5 FM in Chicago.

You have a good voice for a public radio spot, Todd. (meant as a compliment)

apparently not:

In 2010 he told AllMusic, “Basically, they don’t know what caused it, because I’m not high-risk. I’m not a smoker. I mean, [the doctors] said for me to have this I’d have to be in my 50’s or 60’s and smoked packs a day for my whole life and drunk hard stuff. I have drunk a fair amount in my day, but not enough.”

My 7th grade Language Arts teacher is right in the middle of this pic. Ms. Fugami.
Needless to say, the entire school -- all the boys, at least -- were crazy about her.
(Plus, she was a pretty good teacher, too. I think.)
