The Vikings hand over another lazy drama-mama, injury prone player to the Shithawks:
Percy Harvin with a torn labrum...

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/07/25/harvins-hip-injury-could-require-surgery/

Surgery will likely be a season-ender...

Harvin has spent 35 weeks on the Injury Report list since 2009.

Excited for Hard Knocks. I just need to find somewhere to watch it or someone that will burn it to a DVD for me. Any takers? I'll pay.

No way!! Jerkass is talking out of his ass again?? I find this so hard to believe! Call me when Harvin actually misses a regular season game to this injury - the team doctor cleared him to play - Harvin wants a 2nd opinion and I say more power to him at this point - because as long as he hasn't practiced yet, we can put him on the Physically Unable to Perform list and activate him at any time during the preseason. The problem would be if he had been activated and practiced, then he can't just easily go back to PUP. So it is best to be cautious with guys until you know they are okay.

And the situations in Seattle and Minnesota are night and day between Talent and coaches attitudes - Harvin could still be an issue, but Carroll is a player's coach and while we certainly expect Harvin to play up to his contract here, he won't be expected to shoulder as much of the load as he did in MN.

Sure he could miss time due to the injury - I don't expect it though. It is supposedly a minor tear.

Percy Harvin is now someone else's liability. He gets $14.5 million for not even playing one down this season (he won't be playing this season guaranteed)
Sidney Rice is off getting some bullshit European treatment on his knee...
Seahawks' management got played more than once by peer-pressure and hype and now they're left with an average receiver corps that will go elsewhere when their contracts expire after this year.
Pete Carroll is still smiling because that's what he's paid to do.

Jeremy Maclin being out for the year sucks. I didn't think the Eagles were going to do much this year, but I am curious to see what Chip has up his sleeve, and Maclin was one of the main pieces he was going to have fun with.

Well, this will be the same average receiving corps on a team that was 31 seconds from the NFC title game last season and should be improved under Wilson with an additional year of experience in an offense that was near the top of the league over the 2nd half of last season once the training wheels were taken off.

And, you are referring to the same smiling Pete Carroll and Seahawks' management (essentially, John Schneider) who took over a team that had been 9-23 the previous 2 seasons and has taken them to the playoffs 2 of 3 seasons and molded them into a young, talented team that is now one of the Superbowl frontrunners (even without Harvin). You may not like them but you sure as hell can't objectively argue that they haven't done a pretty damn good job re-shaping this team into a title contender.

It sure would've been nice to have Harvin in this offense this season, but I think they'll be fine without him (barring other major injuries, of course). My major concern is the road schedule: @Atlanta, Houston, Indy, NYG, Carolina + the NFC West. That's a tough row to hoe.

Even more interesting than the fact Tebow, Cooper, and Hernandez are all in that same photo is the first documented appearance of the Kuato that lives in Tebow's armpit.

Bad omen for the Ravens' defense tonight.
Most points scored against in franchise history.
And the offense isn't pulling off those long 3rd downs like last year.
Not the same team.

If you like whiney mopey QBs, you should move to Chicago.

Please let the Seahawks smoke the 49'ers next week. Harbaugh drives me nuts.

I'd love to see that, as I hate D-bag Harbaugh more than anyone, but there's no way another 42-13 ass-kicking is happening. No Harvin, Irvin or Clemons; possibly no Avril or Browner. Kaepernick is the real deal.

Home field advantage keeps it close: Hawks 27 Harbags 24.

God, it was one game. Can the Chip Kelly slobber job slow it's roll for maybe a few games?

Also, Suh fined 100K today for his dirty play.

Happy to be wrong here.

The offense was below average but the defense was unbelievable and turned it into another ass-kicking.
Go 'Hawks :drink:

Tweets tip off former NFL player about teens partying in his home

Holloway lives down the road from my folks. He used to do just-say-no assemblies at my high school. Definitely didn't deserve to have his house trashed.

I can report from the dozen or so texts that I got last night that they are none too pleased.
