Anyway, things have been, uh, good.

Still tall

Still have #NTH

Good to see you pop in, Loogs!
And glad to hear that you're doing well.
Me?
Same as it ever was. Maybe a little better.

Oh yeah, trying to plan a show to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the first Hop On Pop album.

Still teaching, though the light at the end of the tunnel that represents retirement is getting larger quickly, and I can't wait to be hit by that train. Completely out of coaching now (thank God).

Lot of spare time on my hands now that I waste very efficiently.

1.5 years into second marriage (so far, so good)

Doubled number of children without personally having to assist in the creation/pre-teen development of the additional two

Have managed to keep off the 118 lbs. I lost from early 2012-mid 2013 (went from 362 lbs. to 244)...give or take 5 pounds of ongoing fluctuation (between 245-250 with most days spent right around 246-247).

Been working the same stable, pleasant, boring, generally unfulfilling day job for almost six years now, and about to add a side gig writing for a startup sports website (should be launching any day now, but probably won't start seeing any cash until march at the earliest - if even then).

Encouraging news regarding my Mom - think I should probably go post an update about it on that thread... http://www.obner.org/board/viewtopic.php?p=945654#p945654

- This summer makes 10 years for the marriage, which is exciting.
- Also makes 7 years at the "new" good job.
- And 7 years of living in Boston instead of Wisconsin, which is scary, because I have basically never lived anywhere longer than 7 years. Moved at 5, then 10, then 18, then 24, then 29... but things keep going so well here.
- Beer hobby continues as well as it can, given that I have little room and time for it, but I soldier on and the wife is supportive in her own way. She doesn't wanna sit around all saturday so I can brew, which leaves few options. Understandable, too. I don't want to be sedentary people either. But it takes 4 hours a whack to do each part (brew or bottle), and that time has to come from somewhere, or else I don't really brew beer.
- Photography continues to creep up as more and more of a serious hobby. Making the most of the very good camera I got for father's day a year and a half ago, appreciating the results, and learning learning learning. Shooting film on the side helps.
- Actually started playing with a band, which will soon split up when the main guy leaves town. But we played out a few times and might again before he goes. Another band starting up too, which will be fun, except I'm the best musician in it, which is not good news.

Shit I'll play

- Married 3 years as of this past December
- Have a 9.5 month old daughter who I'm confident will prove to be history's best baby (generally happy temperament, has slept through the night since the 2nd night home, just the best)
- Still working in the same field for the past 9 years; trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up - maybe a full-time barbecue blogger?
- Enjoy messing around with the camera we bought before our daughter born last year
- Still trying to go to shows on the regular but haven't been able to keep up with music as closely as I'd like and haven't even put together a favorite albums of 2013 list yet

Ok. Lots has changed.

Got married (again) in 2013. Really happy on that front.

My boss died of a sudden heart attack in 2012, took over his job in a trial by fire, stood for election last year, won it. Standing for election again this year, things look good. Union Thugz 4 Lyfe.

Started playing video games competitively on the arcade scene. Went to Funspot last year, took 7th in one of three tournaments. Going again this year.

Killed the record label (I thought for good) in 2010 until the band asked me to resurrect it this year for this release, so here we go again, I guess. Mailed out promos last week, album comes out next month on vinyl and digital. Real proud of it. No real expectations that it will do anything. Don't really care. Was happy to spend a gazillion dollars to have my vinyl copy.

Went on The Kiss Kruise last year. It was a preposterous trip. Night Ranger was on the boat as well. Had a moment at the midnight buffet line with Kelly Keagy.

Still fuckin' fish; primarily cod

Coming up on 14 years of marriage, and the big 4-0 this year

26 year old girlfriend

Kids are 3 and 6, doing well

Senior Director/General Counsel at a telecommunications company since last February, going well

Planning a trip to Switzerland for later this year; need to pick up my nazi gold at the bank

Getting back on the work out thing so I can try to get back to my fighting weight of 210 vs my current 225

Really loaded up my wine collection in 2013; 2014 is for drinking that inventory down

The rest of my life pretty much revolves around home brewing. I'll enter a few more contest this year and I might attend the National Homebrewers Conference in Grand Rapids, MI if everything falls into place.

-my kids are as funny and witty and as smart as ever. both have finished their undergrad programs. daughter child is going to grad school in the fall and young sun just came back from his 5th trip to china. they remain my heart and soul.
-moved back to chicago a year ago and am loving it.
-have a great part time gig as house manager for a large cultural institution.
-have a great art studio to work in and spend lots of time there thanks to the above.
-still trying to draw the perfect circle.
-not dating at the moment. would love to have someone interested in me who is not 35 years old. apparently i'm the older woman now. while it is flattering my age limit is that she must be born before the beatles broke up.
-still loves me some stacey.

Thanks Bob. I attribute it to a secret of the orient.

Also, I got ahead of myself and am still 31 - I don't turn 32 until next month.
