The foundation of this board was based upon the exclusivity of a bunch of college blowhards and their cool kids' chat room clique that no one outside of that microcosm gave a shit about...

10 years later...most of those people got old/married/employed/interested in consumables and lost their curiosity in/time for new music.
And as the backslapping cliques died with time, so did most of the content on this board.

Oh well. I still don't give a shit about the Wrens or the National or 90% of the bullshit suggested here. I just enjoy scavenging amongst this boards' ruins because it's funny in a sad sort of way.

I always felt like both the "clique" and the "fuck you guys and your clique" crowds were fringe, and that mostly the board was filled with really fucking nice people who would mail you a t-shirt or a mix cd, or put you up on their couches no questions asked, and such.

Eh, it was a fucking great time. The last couple of years at CMJ and the first few here were some fucking awesome interneting.

Yeah, there were cliques and cool kids and Jen sleeping with every guy here and all of that good stuff.

Personally, I had the privilege to meet many here and I had a great time every time. Except when I was alone in a car with Bob. I think he wanted me to suck his dick but was scared to ask.
