Holy shit!

TOKYO (Billboard) - Hideaki Sekiguchi, who played bass with Japanese rock act Guitar Wolf under the name Billy, died after suffering a heart attack Thursday (March 31), the band's management company, Tokyo-based SBT Music, said. He was 38.

The hard-rocking trio, which is signed to Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) affiliate Ki/oon Records, formed in 1987 and quickly made a name for itself with its hyper-energetic, over-the-top brand of stripped-down punk rock, both in Japan and overseas.

In the U.S., Guitar Wolf's albums have been released by such labels as Goner, Matador and Narnack.

The future of the band is unclear, and SBT says all scheduled concerts have been canceled.

Sekiguchi's memorial vigil will take place Tuesday (April 5) at Tokyo's Rinkai Funeral Hall, followed by his funeral the next morning at the same location.

Those guys just played Nashville. Weird. Why doesn't the press just say "drug overdose" instead of the euphemistic "heart attack"?

Everyone knows this guy and Mitch Hedberg were probably doing speedballs when they died.

Spraying them with blood from his nose maybe.

I've been to his grave.

Not intentionally. It happened to be near Stan Laurel's.
