My parents are coming into town from Minneapolis for a visit.

Tonight: We'll have dinner and hang at my place. Have some drinks maybe watch a movie.

Sat: We're going to Body Worlds exhibit at the Museum of Science and industry and then checking out some sort of play in the evening.

Sun: Brunch, send the parents off, and chill.

Prepping for next weekend when the gf and I will finally be tying the knot after 6 years of dating. :)

Trip to Montreal this weekend to record some more songs.

This time it looks like I'll actually get a chance to see my fam--which is real nice.

Hoping too to get a chance to see some of my sweet trouble-making Mtl friends. Looks like there's some kind of Arcade Fire 'after party' going on at some point.

I think me mums might treat me to a train ride home which is incredibly sweet: a smooth 4 hours, compared with the sometimes 6 hour car ride in traffic.

tomorrow: friend's b-day party. lots of tunes & booze will be involved.

sunday: start working on my final paper for school. this shit is going to be so time consuming b/c i need to pull up my grade in this class.

have you ever taken the night train? it's terrible and takes something like 8 hours. i swear it moves along at about 30km/hr and comes to sudden stops every 50ft. worst. train ride. ever.

Going to Home Depot and renting out some kind of steam cleaner because our carpet looks like shit.

Picking up the dog of a friend of ours because she won't be able to take care of her due to surgery she's having. We're actually kind of excited about this. Another doggy for a few weeks!! AND the special part is that our dog and hers are sisters that haven't seen each other since they were puppies. We're wondering if they will somehow remember each other through scent even though it's been over ten years.

No. My bf has a couple of times and doesn't seem to mind it. I'm not so sure I'd dig it.

[shameless sentimentality]

*sigh* I remember him catching it the first time he came to visit me almost exactly a year ago. *wistful look*

Anyone know how to re-size that puppy? I realized afterwards that it's a little unruly.

Tonight: Josh is on his way to Detroit to play a music conference, so I'm going to Charlie's Little League Pizza party at the Ymca tonight. Go to Borders and shop, then come home and watch a movie, read and go to bed.

Saturday: Work 8:30 til 6. Jump a cab and go to the Van Morrison tribute show at Old Town School of Folk Music. Josh is playing in one of the groups there, so I'm going to see that. Come home and relax.

Sunday: Get my dyed back to Blonde by sister in law the model's colorist that is flying in to do hers(she offered to pay for it for me, how sweet) and then go to Birthday dinner for older brother with family.

The board automatically resizes pics bigger than 650 wide or 500 high or something.

Congrats...

Dalen: Thanks for the link..I'll read the Bold interview later this afternoon...I've only known about this show for a little over a week but I've been so damn hype during that time..From what I could find the only places they were playing was NY and Philly....But maybe that will change and they'll come to your neck of the woods...
