Is this gonna suck or what? Its like Gladiator + Braveheart + "Gravitas" (It's like, The Crusades, Man, and that's like totally just like what's going on in the world) and God, and The Bible.

Then again, I hated Gladiator, and it won like 5 Oscars, so what do I know?

I thought Gladiator sucked a dog's ass.

Then again, I find history interesting on it's own, without the explosions and bare chested heroes with oh-so-sexy chin stubble.

I like my history unwashed, crudely cursing up a storm with it's muddy boots on the dining room table. Or in other words, fairly accurate.

It kept entertained me for 3 hours, that's all I ask of movies.

It kept me entertained, but only cos I made fun of it the entire time. I seriously think Tror might be the worst movie ever made.

What's Tror?

This from the guy who's seen every episode of 90210. Your taste is highly questionable.

This from a dude who "liked Troy" and reads comics. I don't have time to argue with you Newman. I gotta watch the Inferno.

I've finally found others! I usually keep my mouth shut when it comes to that movie because everyone worships it and I don't feel like explaining my reason for not liking it. I just thought there was something wrong with me...until now.

If Troy and Alexander (didn't see Alexander but Troy was terrible) are any indication, Kingdom of God will be another huge, epic disaster.

Gladiatior, Troy, this flaming dark ages turd - all basically suck but I can sit through them. Any movie with sword fighting and big battles can draw me in.

Agh... those fat, stumpy fingers of Russell Crowe's were enough to cause nightmares for a week. Ick. So overrated.

If this actual treats the religious war issue thoughtfully, that could elevate it above most midieval epics for me, but I doubt it will.

My only interest in this movie is from what perspective the Crusades will be presented. I mean, is this like an anti "Passion of the Christ"?

To me, it was the CGI, which I think is the worst thing to happen to movies ever. I'd rather see an obviously fake painted sheet (ala Spartacus) than a blurry, obviously not there tiger/Coliseum/million arrows.

Bores me to tears. After the first minute of Saving Private Ryan's opening scene, I was ready to leave. I had to watch it again and see the characters reveal themselves in the scenes BETWEEN all the shooting before I came to truly enjot that movie.

I liked Gladiator and Braveheart, but hated Troy. I'm thinking I'll probably like this. As long as the film doesn't COMPLETELY insult my intelligence ala Troy, I love epics.

If Lipton used "Kill Yourself" and "Eat A Dick" as new catchphrases, his show might approach bearabililty.
