yeah, but for some reason i always thought he name-chacked villanova in "Ana Ng". Not that that should make me like it any better (at all), but still.

oh shit I forgot all about "Spiralling Shape", too.

man i forgot about how much i listened to these guys back in the day.

Probably Particle Man or Your Racist Friend.

For their 6th birthday party, my kids asked me to make a mix to give to all their friends. I said I'd put any of their favorite songs on there, as long as I get to end it with "Bed." I like imagining all those kids (we're having 60) running around their houses screaming, "I'm going to bed...BED BED BED BED BED!" And the parents cursing me out.

not that familiar with them, so my pick's not as obscure -- "istanbul, constantinople" (track title accuracy, optional)

Can't pick just one:
Ana Ng
Your Racist Friend
Older

Lyrics to "Older:
Quote:
You're older now than you have ever been
And now you're even older
And now you're even older...

genius.

And...
You DO all know that "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" is actually an OLD song from one of those Bob Hope/Bing Crosby "road movies", right?

I love fingertips.

Lyrics, not complete or in order:

Hey now everybody, now hey now everybody, hey now everybody, now.
What's that blue thing doing here?!
Something grabbed a hold of my hand, i didn't know what had my hand, but that's when all my troubles began.
I hear the wind blow, I hear the wind blow, it seems to say, hello, hello, I'm the one that loves you so.
Please pass the milk please.
Everything is catching, yes, everything is catching on fire.
I walk along darkened corridors.
Come on, and wreck my car!
I found a new friend underneath my pillow.

I have dozens of faves, but right now it's a toss-up amongst "James K. Polk," "Road Movie To Berlin," "Bastard Wants To Hit Me," and "Your Racist Friend."

We Want a Rock.

I also like Twisted a lot but I think We Want a Rock has the edge. Haq and I listened to Flood on repeat way back when....

I'm not sure that's true either, actually. It's not a TMBG original, but Hope/Crosby... not sure.

My fave off the top of my head:

She's An Angel

Katie- Have you heard the original version of "Cyclops Rock" from a promo only EP that came out summer 1999? Waaay better than the version that eventually made it onto Mink Car.
