My cousin John is a Flight Engineer on one of these. He just arrived in Iraq last week, but he has already been to Afghanistan once, and "other" places recently he can't talk about.

This is what the military has to say about the 'Copter he is a crew member on.

Send him happy thoughts please. His wife, an Air Force Nurse, and two kids are back in Florida...

The MH-53J's mission is to perform low-level, long-range, undetected penetration into denied areas, day or night, in adverse weather, for infiltration, exfiltration and resupply of special operations forces. The MH-53J Pave Low III heavy-lift helicopter is the largest and most powerful helicopter in the Air Force inventory, and the most technologically advanced helicopter in the world. Its terrain-following, terrain-avoidance radar and forward-looking infrared sensor, along with a projected map display, enable the crew to follow terrain contours and avoid obstacles, making low-levelpenetration possible.

Dude, big ups to your cuh! One of my best friends from HS came back from Iraq and is already back in Assramistan.

Agree or disagree with the conflict, people who do this are braver than me.

That helo is boss, but its no AH-64Delta ;)

Yeah, you wouldn't catch my ass over there for sure. But people like yo cuh make it possible for people like me to not have to go over there. And that's cool with me.

So in some wierd way I think there's a compliment in there.
