And that no-count sonofabitch looks just the fuck like me.

-- Mom asked me to go to lunch at noon, boss told me to take the rest of the day off.

-- Free lunch

-- Beautiful sunny afternoon, so I went to find some damn shoes and ended up with these bitches, in the tan.

Image

-- Going to see the one, the only Steve Poltz tonight with a gal who is willing to go see musicians she has never heard of before.

With apologies to the good Senator from Aladamnbama, I do believe they are going to have to forge another one of me to handle all this good fortune.

If anyone doesn't deserve it, Corey, I am sure it is you.

Steve Poltz is fantastic. I do miss The Rugburns though.

Holy fucking dogshit I just got in and it was goddamn fantastic.

The Chris Stamey Experience opened up, which was good, decent, not great, but still entertaining. The highlight for me of the set was a poppier cover of Television's "Venus", plus a cover with Steve Poltz of William Bell/The Byrds' "You Don't Miss Your Water"; and an short switchover mid-solo of one song into The Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows".

Then Steve Poltz takes the stage, and had the place rolling. One funny motherfucker he is. To make it even more unreal, Stinky from The Rugburns was there to play a cardboard box for percussion. I shit you not, a fucking cardboard box, then later a chair. Very good shit, albeit quite strange.

I have a copy of the show that I will rip if anyone on the Colinswood is interested. I also bought Chinese Vacation while I was there. Both of them he wrote all over, including the passage "Thanks for helping me score dope" and "I love your naked body in the moonlight. Don't ever cheat on me."
