 Post subject: did The Talk ever get much... talk around here?

That guy Indierocker30 ran the label they're on, but I have no idea if he's even on Obner. They keep coming up on my ipod and I keep checking to see who it is. Both "It's Like Magic in Reverse" and "No, You Shut Up" are really good. I don't really remember whether anyone ever talked about them.

I'm having trouble with the RIYL, but I'd say Guided By Voices, the Libertines, Bowie, and the Clash. How's that for setting you up for a letdown?

Given the above influences and some gut feeling, I'd recommend them specifically to robotboy, Dalen, and aerodynamics.

i have the same kind of thing happen with the bon savants, actually, where they always come up on the shuffle and i'm surprised at how much i like the song.

I'll recommend "Don't Take the Ferry" from "No, You Shut Up" as one of their best.
