What posters do you have 'up'?

I have a The Smiths 'Queen Is Dead', a 'The Sabine Women' by Jacque Louis David and Etienne Boullee's 'Designs For A Momument To Newton' and a Duchamp print.

I bring this up as a topic because I had workmen round and they clearly thought I take it at both ends because I don't have Pamela Anderson busting out of a string bikini.

I frame mine to avoid the dorm room look, and I keep them in the stairwell with most of my other music related decorations, including one side with several albums mounted on the wall.

Superchunk by Kozik

The Who [48x60. Not framed, but dry mounted on foamcore and hung with invisible plastic mirror clips on this weird chunk of wall I have. It fits perfectly with a 4-5 inch border around it.]

Other than that, my walls are mostly occupied by my own photographs or copies of my work, awards I've won, two Soviet-era propaganda posters that are pretty kickass and a weird postcard from the 1900s in my bathroom of a stork/heron type bird eating frogs.

right now we've got small posters framed like so

mojave 3
junior varsity
maneshevitz/mountain goats
softies

also we're looking for the proper spot to put my Mutant Pop Fest 2000 poster, featuring Micheal Jackson and ET in a loving embrace.

I bought the following print at the Vincent Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema was the artist being exhibited at the time and I fell in love with his work. When I brought it home, I had it professionally framed and was hung in my former office. Since I work in a cubicle now, there's no room and it hangs above the head of my bed.

Interestingly enough, I have a TON of signed concert posters all rolled up, sitting on my desk that I've never put up.

Ooooh, tough one, Tania. These are the first that came to mind, but I can see me doing Star Wars to John Hughes, old classics to new independents, cult classics, comedies...whatever

I always want to buy more, but never do. All I've got is a Van Gogh from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a limited edition Six Feet Under poster. Both are still in their wrappers leaning against the wall.

there should be an e-poster. a monitor-type of device with a chip input. the image changes based on the chip. thing can be hung length or width -wise like a photo holder.

paper is so many-centuries ago.

I've only got one poster nice enough to frame - a big Simpsons poster of like 300+ characters - and a bunch of kinda-crappy, creased-up posters that came in LPs up on my walls. I've got a big room with no windows so I kinda just wanted to cover up most of it. Couldn't be bothered with framing any of it.

Unfortunately, I may have nearly ruined that Simpsons poster by trying to spray-mount it to some foamcore. Someday I'm gonna try to pry it off and get it framed.

edit: the band posters I have-
Silver Jews - from Natural Bridge LP)
Radiohead - Kid A promo poster
US Maple - black text on gold, probably originally from the Long Hair LP
Smog - from A River Ain't Too Much to Love LP
Microphones - from Don't Wake Me Up LP
Deerhoof - hand-made print from the Apple O' tour

and some other small ones

Another poster I have but don't have it up (maybe when we redo our bathroom, ha ha). Mine is slightly different... doesn't have the song titles at the bottom, but I only bought it for the dog anyway:

Image

I've also got this one in postcard size, but would love to frame a poster of it:

I saw this and got a weird sense of deja vu. I've seen this and in someone's kitchen!! Then I remembered you had posted some pictures of your house and stopped freakin' out.

Are you talking about posters or something infinitely more personal? Because those were stripped the moment I said "I do."
