it seems that i own 7 albums that've gone decaplatinum.

oh, and i shouldn't know this, but thriller hit 27 million this past april.

i've read that double albums count twice, so "The Wall" really only sold 11.5 million.

I just bought Thriller for the first time last week. Interestingly, it was the last MJ album that I needed to complete his discography.

So then it's actually 27 million and one.

I find this to be absolutely incredible. Came from out of nowhere, sold a shitton of records, and slipped right on into BK commercials 10 years later.

I have no idea how I ended up with that Matchbox Twenty album. I don't even remember buying it.

It shocks me every time I hear The Eagles are atop the list.

They get played once every other month or so, usually on my Friday commute, because damn if that VH album isn't balls-on when underscored by the rumble of a pair of Flowmasters.

That's actually kind of amazing in itself. I thought everyone went through a Zeppelin and Floyd stage.

I always thought Creed were a flop in the US like they were here in Australia...turns out i was horribly horribly mistaken, to the tune of 11 million records. Haha they sold the same amount as Sgt. Peppers.
