Doubt he'd find it. Los Angeles is one of the few US cities its being exported to. Really though, its like Brazil's version of Budweiser. Nothing special at all.

i looked at this, but i've never had the Hog Hop IPA or this particular weeping radish so i thought that i'd give them a shot.

I realize it's way late, but try Royal Oak Pale Ale. It's delicious stuff. Bottle fermented so you'll get some debris when you pour it into a glass, but it's the best damn beer I've ever tasted.

Again, I know it's too late, but I picked up a pale ale in Washinton called Full Sail Rip Curl. I still have to look for it here in LA. I hope they have it at a Beverages and More type store. But if someone can find it, I give it my wholehearted recommendation.
