Is that "Whisper Song" still being played? That was pretty horrible and annoying.

That Lohan song, too.

No doubt I'll catch hell for this, but just about every song on Sufjan Steven's Illinois individually annoys the shit out of me. Stitched together, the whole thing REALLY annoys the shit outta me.

I've a feeling I'm glad I've never heard this "Whisper Song". And who are the Ying Yang Twins? I also can't say I've ever heard any of Lindsay Lohan's songs.

DING DING DING DING DING

Runner up is that Louis XIV song that mentions "carrot juice".

I heard this song at Coachella 2004---and you're right, it was godawful. If this is getting airplay currently, then I agree with you.

Yeah I hate that Killers song too but Beverly Hills is so fucking awful. Seriously, check out these lyrics...

Quote:
Where I come from isn't all that great
My automobile is a piece of crap
My fashion sense is a little whack
And my friends are just as screwy as me

I didn't go to boarding schools
Preppie girls never looked at me
Why should they?
I ain't nobody
Got nothing in my pocket

Beverly Hills
That's where I want to be
Livin' in Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills
Rolling like a celebrity
Livin' in Beverly Hills

Look at all those movie stars
They're all so beautiful and clean
When the housemaids scrub the floors
They get the spaces in between

I wanna live a life like that
I wanna be just like a king
Take my picture by the pool
'cause I'm the next big thing

Beverly Hills
That's where I want to be
Livin' in Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills
Rolling like a celebrity
Livin' in Beverly Hills

The truth is I don't stand a chance
It's something that you're born into
And I just don't belong

No I don't
I'm just a no-class beat down fool
And I will always be that way
I might as well enjoy my life
And watch the stars play

Beverly Hills
That's where I want to be
Livin' in Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills
Rolling like a celebrity
Livin' in Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills

Britney Spears has better lyrics than that.

My wife actually has "Hollaback Girl" as her ringtone. I hear it incessantly. I put the theme to "Halloween" as mine just to keep her up at night. It really still scares her.

Oh god yes. I hate that song. And I've only heard it twice. First time my husband thought it would be funny to sing the bananas part really goofily jumping around in the car to it.

I almost whacked him in the head while he was driving.

I just found out that my 53 year-old mother purchased and enjoys the new Gwen Stefani album. She starting singing Hollaback Girl to me on the phone.

I hung up on her.

I will now light myself on fire.

The "bananas" part of the song -- I dunno about you people but it we used to cheer that part at football games.

"Go...bananas...say b.a.n.a.n.a.s!"

They played that at my Gay Pride block party, actually.

And yes, the shit was bananas.

And yes, I like the Whisper Song. Misogyny be damned

I don't know the name of the song, but Relient K is the most annoying thing I've witnessed recently. Lil Jon, as always, is up there too.

Hollaback girl!

Wanna bash my head in everytime I hear it.

But I may have a new contender:

Pepper - "Give It Up"

God damn if that song ain't the stupidest shit I've ever heard. It's on this month's CMJ compilation. Just putrid.

That Rob Thomas song that makes him sound like Mark Anthony. I don't know the name of it but it's slightly less annoying than 'This is How a Heart Breaks' which was the #2 reason I didn't watch much of the NBA playoffs. The #1 reason was I don't enjoy the NBA playoffs.
