I don't think I've ever seen a famous person react with that much unabashed/unfiltered joy after winning. Like she forgot she was in front of a crowd and just gave in to the happiness. That was cool.

I don't really like her much (those screams and grunts are incredibly irritating) but she played really well and deserved to win so good luck to her.

Perhaps with her winnings she can buy a bra. Those nipples were terrifiying me.

Ever play the "Is it women's tennis or porn" game?

Just turn the brightness all the way down, or unplug the video cable from the TV and toggle between a women's tennis match and a softcore ppv.

A bit much for me. Then again, I've always thought both Williams sisters overdo their victory celebrations - whether it's for a championship or a 1st round win at the IGA Invitational. They've been there before and have enough talent to let a bit more class, grace & professionalism shine through. Didn't the French call Serena out on this a few years back? I'm pretty sure I saw the retiring Head Judge make a crack on Venus while she celebrated with her trophy. Davenport responded with a nod and rolled her eyes.

As much as I'd like for him to win, Roddick's the most over-rated tennis player on the tour.

Yeah, so she just won the longest (and best, IMHO) Wimbledon final in women's history, which included several match point opportunities for the other player, no less than 5 key service breaks in the last 20 games, huge rallies, an injury, and incredible shotmaking. Not to mention that people have been calling her 'done' for the better part of two years and she became the lowest seed to win at Wimbledon.

Celebrate all you want, sister, it was a great match.

(That said, it was still a little much to watch the 15+ minutes of trophy-hoisting).

I think that "class, grace & professionalism" is often the same thing as "snobby old farts who can't stand to have fun and sure as hell don't want others to."

I thought the jumping up and down and grinning was honest and not put on at all. Unusual, yeah, but honest.

Couldn't have said it better, Mary Carillo.

Are you implying I'm old? I just don't think you watch much tennis.

No, I meant people in tennis who complain that Venus & Serena are crass and give the sport a bad image. Elitist 'tards, most of them.

Proper decorum is a relative thing that should make sense, not something based on traditionalist rigidity.

I don't have any experience with women, but I doubt that a gal in the throes of passion goes *thwok!* every two second.

Unless there's some sort of armpit-fart-like suction dealie I don't know about.

Agassi had to lose his hair to be appreciated by the lions of tennis. Hopefully, neither Williams will have to go thru that.

Her screaming is pretty irritating. I blame it on the fact that she's a black woman and we all know they have no self control when it comes to emotions.

Ha! Patrick, I'm fairly certain it's by choice that our lovely Mr. Lump chooses not to.

So you're one of those people that believes it's a choice to sin. I see.

Then again: even if you choose not to choose, you still have made a choice.

It's not so much choice as the fact that women are filthy, unclean forbidden fruit-eaters what sap the powers of men with their sinful wiles. Oh, and I likes the cock.

Speaking of liking the cock...

It is a sombre day in the residence of Dan Savage, as Roger Federer thrashed Andy Roddick.

Personally, though, sucka deserved it, as he dumped Mandy Moore. Seriously, what was the brotha thinkin'? Roddick deserves to never win a tournament again, for that level of offense.
