pitchfork wasn't working for me this morning except the front page, so I gave up.

only 2.5 stars for the review of their track, but it sounds positive to me.

I'm not surprised by this actually.

I got a copy of the np:ourselves compilation from bort awhile back and the Parts and Labor song (at least I think that's what it was titled) was good. Now I feel compelled to go and dig this out of the humongous mix cd pile I've accumulated over the years and listen to it again.

actually on the np: ourselves comp Whiney contributes a Poisson D'Avril track, which is his solo gig separate from P&L. also, the np comp got reviewed in a zine, i'll post it when i get ahold of a copy. it's nothing spectacular though.

It's fun being on the other side of a review.

It's funny, he says everything WE say about our music ("pop music for noiseniks/noise music for popsters"), but when we say it, it's a positive thing.

Dunno why he he thinks noise n pop shouldn't cohabitate on their own terms. Daydream Nation anyone?
