I picked this up in the latest DDDVD 20% off sale, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Maybe tonite.

And I own the "Dee Dee King" record. It's soooooo awesomely horrible.

It is quite good, I bought it a couple of months ago and have watched it several times since then. It's kind of sad watching though, considering all but Tommy are gone now. After watching it, I usually end up listening to nothing but Ramones for the next day or so afterwards.

Yeah, somehow for awhile they got a rep as being the "cudley" side of punk. Maybe, it was just because they came out of Forest Hills. These guys were all miserable bastards and as real as Iggy.

I got to watch it last nite - thought it was really well done, but I was a teeny bit disappointed in the lack of "new" info in it. But I've been a fan for 25-ish years, so I guess I shouldn't have really expected too many surprises.

I actually didn't think Johnny came off as badly as all the reviews/viewers opinions made it seem. No, he's not a nice guy - but he didn't come off as the raving prick I was expecting going in. I was kinda surprised the movie didn't touch on things like the "Bonzo Goes To Bitburg/My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down" issue.

Did you guys ever hear the Ronnie Spektor album Joey Produced?
Contained a cover of Johnny Thunders, and a few other great songs. Thre was even a duet if I remember correctly.

Ronnie Spector

yeah, it was a pretty good album, i was nicely surprised by it. Even if her voice is a bit off now it still seems to do good by me. i'm surprised phil dodn't shoot joey over that...
