Their relievers should be good and sore for the stretch run after this series.

Spade - how nuts were you going last week when my Royals took 2 outta 3 from yer Sox? Not that it matters Big Picture-wise, but that had to be kinda annoying.

And then of course, my boys parlayed that sweet, sweet momentum into a 4 game sweep at the hands of the fucking Devil Rays. Yeesh.

That capped off a couple weeks where they were really treading water against some bad teams, and then the next day Thomas went down for the year. I was freaking out pretty bad.

I bet. lol.

Thankfully for you, the Twins were also in the middle of a slide.

I wasn't necessarily a believer a couple months ago, but I really think you guys will win the division now. But I also think you won't fare too well in the playoffs. Just a hunch.

How's the Sox minor league situation? I look at the current major league squad & I see a veteran, "win now" team.

15 games up and the magic number is down to 44. Too bad the Tampa GM is a fucking dick or else we'd have had Huff to fill Frank's shoes.

There are several reasons to believe the White Sox will do well in the postseason. Who in the AL is significantly better? No one. The Red Sox? Please. The Yankees? Probably won't even make it. The Angels? We handled them this year. The A's? Well...maybe that scares me a bit, but they're playing way over their heads and will probably slide. The Sox were slumping for a couple weeks and just rattled off a 4 game streak at Baltimore. The only postseason opponent that really intimidates me is Oakland, and that's just because we never play that team well. No one on the team is overperforming significantly, except maybe Garland. Everyone is hitting about where they should be, and the pitching is doing its job.

The Sox minor league situation, as always, is that they have one of the deepest farm systems in either league.

The last rumor out of Philly yesterday was that they wanted Crede, Marte and McCarthy for Wagner. Or, instead of Crede, they wanted either Buehrle, Garland or Garcia. Lunacy.

They have to put a stop to that. It starts in the booth when DJ constantly talks about the hexes and such. Guillen and the players all have it in their heads that Oakland owns them. Buehrle and Paulie always comment on it. That team scares me to death... but at least they traded away Byrnes.

And you're right, most of the Sox are performing to par, save Garland, AJ and perhaps Hermy. In fact, Rowand, Uribe and Paulie could use some offensive improvement.

Insert Garland for Jeter and this is the sign you'll be staring at in the postseason.

Also, that was a nice catch by Crede last week.

As I recall, we just split four games at the Cell, but the Red Sox needed a gift in game 1 just to earn said split.

And that gift came in the form of Luis Vizcaino. I was more upset with him laying in another meatball than Crede's drop... which was a tougher play than most think.

Cmon, Tim Naehring could've caught that ball.

He was fighting the dugout, camera well and tarp. He makes that catch 99 times out of 100 though.
