I just came from Subway (big suprise) and as I sitting in my car eating my sandwich and I see this car pull up with a huge older lady driving (Mom), then an even bigger, even older lady in the passenger seat (Grandma). Both of them are puffing away on their long cigarettes (How the fuck can you smoke when it's this hot outside?).

Anyway, that would have been fine. I mean it's Wisconsin, what am I to expect. But then, out of the back seat, comes the "kid". I mean this boy, was maybe 12, maybe thirteen years old and he was puching 300. I wish I was joking, I would've been able to finish my lunch. It was the saddest thing I've seen in a while.

Parents who let their children indulge in every Ho-Ho, every pizza, every little fucking fat pill known to man should be hunted like whales and made into makeup. Kids don't pop out of their mother eating Flintstones style ribs. It's a learned behavior. And it makes me sooooo fucking mad.

HEY SALAD DODGER! YOU'RE KILLING YOUR KID!!!

Kill yourself, your child might be sad at first, but when he/she is able to live past 30, they'll look up in the sky and thank you later.

OH. MY. FAAAAAAAAAATTT!!!!

Reminds of when I worked in FL. The Central FL pres of the AFL-CIO was openly so fat that she:
A) Broke her foot just by walking on it
B) Went out to lunch with my candidate, who came back two hours late because SHE COULDN'T STAND UP UNDER HER OWN POWER.

I nicknamed her "Hongry"

My cousin is crazy fat. She was at least 250lbs at age 13. One time she decided she was going to become a vegetarian to help her eat better. Her favorite meal went from burgers to fettucine alfredo

Another solution - Put down the video games and go outside. If our tubby little friends actually played outside anymore, they would be so much better off.

it's hard because it's a vicious cycle. these kids want to hide out because they're filled with self loathing and have really crappy self images. it's more than just a little exercise. although that's a good start.

I know what you mean, but when I was small we played outside as long as we could. It KEPT us from getting to be half ton food monsters. My diet was absolutely terrible (parents didn't know better) but I stayed relatively thin.

If they are already obese than you're right, but parents need get these kids active before they become mini blimps. I think it has to do alot with the lack of trust in society (for good reason). But when I think of the freedoms we took as kids, it would shock parents of today. For example at a young age going into woods and stuff, and playing out of sight of parents. We never even considered being kidnapped or molested. Inside is safe.

it amazes me sometimes how so many of these people can eat every meal at places like this, too. I can't eat more than 2 meals out before jut going home and making something for myself. Granted, that's not always the best thing either, but i feel like forcing some ginormous little kid to make a bacon/butter smoothie white fudge ripple crunch would probably clue them in the why the fuck they're built like a tick.

I don't think it's lack of trust in society.

It's technology. And psychology. There's also more of that self-esteem/expressing yourself/everybody's special so do whatever the fuck you want bullshit.

I have a hard time faulting the kid.

Blame the parents, who are too damn worried about a link between vaccines and autism (FALSE!) or some other "toxin" that threatens little Johnny, rather than looking the kid in the eye and saying, "NO".

It's that too. I made this hypothesis from talking to a co-worker, who basically said she didn't have time to go outside and watch her kids play all day. The conversation devolved into parents freaking out about their kids safety.

Tell her that's why abortion is legal, and next time she should look into it.

These are children, not fuck trophies.
